Roadside Entertainment produces a diverse range of award-winning programming for television, digital platforms and branded entertainment, in both long and short formats. Its portfolio includes TV series and specials for ESPN (“The ESPY Awards”), IFC, ABC, VH1, BET, the Sundance Channel, the NFL Network, CBS, and Showtime. The company also creates branded entertainment and commercial projects for blue-chip clients such as Reebok, Microsoft, EA Sports, The Honest Company, and Unilever.
Logo Design & Brand Development
At the time of our engagement Roadside was being courted for potential acquisition by a number of big name media players looking to expand their footprint in the world of advertising and content-creation. We based the logo on a combination of geometric, directional road sign silhouettes and the shape of the PLAY button on media devices. The striking black and yellow palette combination was inspired by gritty road crew and construction signage to reference the hard-working, problem-solving, get-it-done attitude of the Roadside production and development team.
Shortly after the completion of our rebrand, Roadside Entertainment was acquired by Peter Guber’s Mandalay Sports Media (MSM) for an undisclosed sum.
